 Charter Cup Fishing Tournament Raises Over 75k

HYANNIS, MA, ISSUED AUGUST 9, 2018…… The 2^nd Annual Charter Cup Fishing Tournament raised awareness and more than $75,000.00 for nine local non-profits on Cape Cod.

This invitation only, one-day event, which took place on Wednesday, July 18, featured ten boat crews competing to raise money for their selected charities. It was all hands-on deck for “local businesses giving back”! Participating and co-organizing businesses included Bay Colony Concrete Forms, Jaxtimer Landscaping, LLC, Carl F Riedell & Sons, Inc., Botello Lumber Company, Barnstable Police Department with the Bigs in Blue, E.J. Jaxtimer Builder, Inc., and Baxter’s.

The weather was perfect and it was a great day of fishing. The day ended at the weigh-in station right outside Baxter’s, Hyannis, where all participants got together with their non-profits to celebrate. “I am so grateful that last year’s businesses and new participants from our local community are coming together to raise funds for our Cape Cod nonprofits,” says E.J. Jaxtimer. “I only see this fishing tournament getting bigger every year!”

100% of the proceeds raised from the 2^nd Annual Charter Cup Fishing Tournament will directly benefit Cape Abilities, Cape Cod Child Development, Habitat for Humanity Cape Cod, May Institute, Special Olympics Cape Cod & Islands, WellStrong, Housing Assistance Corporation Cape Cod (HAC), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands, and the Yarmouth Police Foundation.
