E.J. Jaxtimer is excited to announce a new fishing tournament to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands (BBBS), The Little Big Fishing Tournament. Since departing from the BIG 3 Fishing Tournament committee after co-chairing for 6 years with his wife Terry, E.J. and his family are excited to launch their latest fundraising venture. The Jaxtimers have seen firsthand the positive impact BBBS has had on the community and they are committed to making a difference in children’s lives here on Cape Cod and the Islands.
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands is to partner with under-resourced families to provide their children with transformational, one-to-one professionally-supported relationships with caring adult mentors, so that their children will thrive. BBBS wants youth to achieve their full potential, which contributes to healthier families, better schools, brighter futures and stronger communities. Through three innovative program models BBBS ensures that children have more opportunities to be provided with a mentor.
The Little Big Fishing Tournament will take place at Baxter’s Fish ‘n’ Chips, Hyannis, on Thursday, June 24, 2021 with the Captain’s Meeting held the night before. The tournament is anticipating up to 30 boats and over 150 men, women and children anglers to participate. The day will end with an award ceremony, raffle prize drawings, and dinner provided by Baxter’s Fish ‘n’ Chips.
The tournament is now offering local business sponsorships in the amounts of $1,000, $750, $500 and $250 and donation items for the captain’s buckets and raffle prizes. Businesses will be prominently displayed on the tournament banner on the day of the event and on the website. Interested boat participants, sponsors, captain’s bucket and/or raffle donors are asked to contact E.J. Jaxtimer directly: cell 508-776-0923 or email [email protected].
